VISION
The Vision for the Chamber of Commerce is to encourage business and economic success
for Pushmataha County.

MISSION
The Mission of the Chamber is to “Encourage Business and Community Economic Success”.

STRATEGIC PLAN
The heart of the Strategic Plan is a set of five objectives.
The Chamber will:

  • Serve as the front door to Pushmataha County with a visible physical location.
  • Represent the Pushmataha County area business community in local, regional, state and federal legislative issues.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with other business organizations and associations locally, regionally, statewide and nationally to better address common issues and opportunities.
  • Improve effectiveness by increasing our profile in the community.
  • Maintain a strong and well-funded organization that accomplishes the goals of its members.


COMMITTEE

Ambassadors
Represent the Chamber of Commerce to the business community.

  • Plan and attend Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings, Awards, etc.
  • Plan and Host the Annual Chamber Banquet
  • Work to increase new membership and membership retention
  • Plan, develop and execute the “Business of the Month” program
  • Assume the responsibility of “Welcoming Committee” for newcomers to the community

Beautification
Promote the enhancement of the aesthetic qualities of Pushmataha County.

  • Organize an event for Oklahoma’s Trash-off
  • Plan, develop and execute the “Yard of the Month” program
  • Develop programs to motivate the beautification of Pushmataha County

Christmas
Promote local shopping for the holiday season.

  • Organize the Annual Christmas Parade and Decorating Contests
  • Work with the Antlers Main Street Program to promote the annual “Shop at Home” drawing
  • Organize other events to promote local holiday shopping

Economic Development
Promote the retention and expansion of existing businesses, as well as attract new businesses to Pushmataha County.

  • Actively recruit commercial businesses to Pushmataha County
  • Promote local shopping through the development of new programs, as well as support of current local programs (i.e. Main Street Program)

Homecoming
Plan and organize the Annual Homecoming Celebration.

  • Homecoming Parade
  • Fish Fry
  • All other Homecoming Events

Legislative
Serve as a liaison between the Chamber and government officials.

  • Keep Chamber members informed of current legislative issues
  • Inform government officials about the needs of Chamber members

Special Events
Plan and organize special events that provide networking opportunities and financial support for the chamber.

  • Business @ Breakfast
  • Hold special fundraisers, as necessary (Circus, Freewheel Bicycle Tour, tournaments, etc.)

Tourism
Promotes tourism of Pushmataha County through combined efforts with other area organizations.

  • Kiamichi Country
  • County and City Officials
